① Google Developer Student Club

➡ I joined this club in my second semester in college. I was interested in joing this club becasue it aligned with my major, and I wanted to learn more about the applicaiton of computer science, and wanted to develop connections with people in my field. There are a lot of things I did in this club such as:

➤ Utilized websites such as kattis.com and leetcode.com to practice programming python, Java, and C language and collaborated with other students to find solutions to problems.
➤ Contributed to solution challenge which involves visual and product design and learning how to identify a problem, a user, and find a solution for products.
➤ Organized workshops such as Flutter and GitHub.

② African Student Association (Fundraising Chair)

➡ I joined this club in my first semester of college. The purpose of this club is to connect African students to share and learn about each other's culture and tradition. It serves to bring African students together and help build a community to keep the African culture alive. Here, we celebrate different African holidays, organize different events, have weekly meetings, and play kahoot games to challege ourselves to learn about other countries. My position in this club was part of the exec board as a Fundraising chair and my responsibilites included by not limited to:

➤ To plan atleast three fundraising events per year that will benefit ASA.
➤ To recruit volunteers and sponsors for fundraising events.
➤ To develop strategies to encourage new or increased contributions.

③ Ethiopian Student Union (Treasurer)

➡ I joined this club in my first semester of college. This club was designed for Ethiopian students on campus. This club was created after realizing how much other students don't know about my country. Ours goal was to share our cultures with other students on campus by organizing events and more. The purpose of this club was to also build a community among Ethiopian students to communicate with each other, and feel at home away from home. My position in this club was part of the exec board as a Treasurer and my responsibilites included but not limited to:

➤ To prepare and adhere to an approved budget in conjunction with the President and Vice-President
➤ To maintain accurate records of organization's finances
➤ To keep financial records audited and up to date.
➤ To work closely with any fundraising activities
➤ To be responsible for the collection and or disbursement of funds

④ Augustana Physics and Engineering Society (Secretary)

➡ I joined this club in my first semester of college. I was eager to join this club becasue I was interested in building things which this club promised. In this club, I partook in many different activites which involved careful planning and deliberate execution. As a secretory I was responsible to make sure everything was running smoothly and contributed to many things including:

➤ Organize and carefully implement physics-related projects such as building rockets and weather balloons by making sure the design is thoroughly done and using software technology to model the projects.
➤ Participate in different competitions. Won the Cardboard regatta competition twice.
➤ Raised funds to purchase the equipment required for the projects, by selling t-shirts, caramel apples, and other things in different events, and attending competitive fundraising events such as penny wars.
➤ Attend Zone 9 meetings at different locations in other universities to collaborate ideas, view and prepare presentations, learn from other peer groups.

⑤ Cool QC

➡ I joined this group of web developers, photographers, videographers, journalists and designers in the summer of 2022. This project was to increase the involvement of college students in the Quad Cities community. Many people in the QC are engaged in a variety of fascinating and exciting activities, including taking on projects, starting new eateries, growing their businesses, and much more. Many college students weren't involved in the quad city community so this project was designed to increase the awareness.

⑥ Iota Chi Epsilon

➡ I joined this frat in Spring of 2022. Iota Chi Epsilon is a greek life fraternity on campus. The purpose of this frat was to build bonds and form brotherhood on and after campus. I joined this frat because the members of this frat are goal-oriented and many of the members pursue majors related to technology which is same as mine.
